Meet The Team

Coleby Connor Coleby attended the University of Omaha, graduating with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. Coleby joined Anderson Industrial Engines early 2015 as a Controls Engineer and is helping keep AIE up to date in the ever expanding electronic world of industrial engines. In his free time he likes to work on programming projects and dig into electronics.

Kyle Kimmerling Originally from Beatrice, Kyle graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Since starting with AIE in 2005, Kyle has been instrumental in the growth of our ever expanding Engineering Department as a Mechanical Engineer. In his free time Kyle enjoys brewing his own beer and eating other people’s doughnuts.

Cody Mahrt Cody attended UNO’s Pre-Mechanical Engineering program before finishing his Mechanical Engineering Bachelors degree and graduating from UNL. Cody arrived at Anderson Industrial Engines in 2011, completing our triangle of engineers. When Cody is not playing professional volleyball, his hobbies include hunting, fishing and archery.

Alec Merino Alec is a Kansas City native and attended the University of Kansas graduating with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He arrived to the AIE Kansas City branch in the Fall of 2015 as an Application Engineer. Alec enjoys being outdoors, exercising, doing anything automotive related, and occasionally delving into programming projects.

Joe Novotny Joe is a South Dakota native, having been born and raised on a beef cattle ranch near Ree Heights, SD. Inspired by a father who was a tinkerer extraordinaire, Joe went on to graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City, SD.  Joe’s professional background is machine design with emphasis on parts count minimization as well as designing for assembly, manufacturing and service.  In his free time, Joe enjoys craft beers, bourbons of all sort, riding his motorcycle (not after drinking) and all aspects of the hunting, shooting and reloading sports (again, not after drinking).
