Course Description:
This instructor‐led course is 100% hands‐on. Covering all the related engine components of our Kubota mechanically injected diesel engines. Emphasis will be placed on diagnosis, disassembly, inspection, and
reassembly. Students are challenged with numerous real‐world activities and procedures. They start with a running engine and are expected to have a running engine after reassembly to pass the course.
Activities include:
- Proper disassembly of an engine
- Engine reassembly procedures
- Compression testing
- Cylinder leak down testing
- Engine diagnosis procedures
- Injector nozzles testing
- Kubota special service tool usage
- Electric governor overview
- Timing fuel system
- Engine measurement
- Part inspection
- Service manual usage
It is required that all attendees complete the online prerequisite courses before attending this class. Each course will take approximately 20 min to complete.

Course Description:
The WG Spark Ignited Engine course focuses on Kubota’s SI engine models. Emphasis will be placed on multi‐fuel system components and their operation, including liquid propane and gasoline fuel systems. Electrical diagnosis is a major focus of this course, in addition to KGST function and utilization. Students will be challenged with an abundant amount of real‐ world hands‐on activities.
Activities include:
- Discuss WG spark ignited engine components
and operation - Diagnosing and replacing faulty engine
components - Electrical component testing
- Fuel system components and operation
- O2 sensor operation
- Catalyst operation
- Breakout box activities
- Kubota special service tool usage
- How to use Active Test and Utilities with the diagnostic interface
- Data monitoring and data graphing with the diagnostic interface
- DTC inspection procedures

This course will discuss all the electrical system components of our Kubota engines and their operation. Emphasis will be placed on the DPF system, common rail and Diagmaster.
